What's your turnaround?

The clock begins when you've submitted and paid for your order. At that point, it's normally 3 business days before you'll see your first proof. In most cases, clients will approve the first proof or ask for a minor revision, which means the order goes to print and is ready for shipping within 2 business days. Of course, the more revisions there are, the longer the process takes.

Once you've approved the proof and paid, it usually takes about 10 business days for you to receive your cards.

 

What type of paper/card stock do you use?

We use 14pt and 16pt card stock, which is about 50% thicker than the average card stock. In addition, we provide the glossy/UV coating which adds an additional thickness to it. Sometimes, when both sides are coated, the card measures out at 18pt thickness!

 

Do I receive proofs prior to printing?

Yes, on your first and each subsequent revision, we give you a proof to approve.

 

Are the colors on my screen accurate to the final product?

No. Each computer monitor is different. Even in our own office the colors often look like they are a slightly different shade of a color. The discrepancy grows when you request unusual or non-standard colors. Remember also that we're printing on coated stock, so colors won't look the same as they would on uncoated stock.

One of the best examples I can give is something most people are familiar with: coffee mugs. A coffee mug is a coated product, whereas a normal business card is uncoated. If you print the color blue on an uncoated business card, and then print it on a coffee mug, it's not going to look exactly the same.

We do our very best to match the color you want, and we'll do whatever it takes to make you happy.

 

What file types can I upload?

We accept Adobe, Microsoft Word, jpeg and bmp. When you're uploading images, make sure you give us at least 300 dpi imagery, or it won't be sufficient for printing.

 

How can I make changes to my order after I've submitted it?

After your initial submission, you'll receive the first revision. If you have changes, now is the time to make them. After each revision, you'll get another opportunity.


How can I make changes to my order after I've approved it?

It's very rare that we can stop the presses after you've approved an order. You see, we've learned that our clients like to get their new business cards as quickly as possible after they've approved them, so our whole system is designed to move quickly after client approval. That also means that within minutes of your approval, we've sent the artwork to the printing department. Only occasionally can we stop the process.  Your best option is to review thoroughly the design after each revision.


How do I reorder cards?

Use your login and click reorder or reorder with changes, and then specify the changes you want. You'll have the same opportunities to proof as with your original order.

 

What if I'm ordering cards for multiple people in my company?

It's best to use multiple profiles to avoid confusion. You can specify in the comment section that you want to use the layout from a previous order, and then tell us what information must be changed.

Please, be VERY careful when doing this, because often times our clients forget to change an email address, or an extension, or a cell phone number, even though they changed a photo and all the other contact info.

 

Will you print less than 1,000, such as 500?

Yes, we will print you 500 for the same price as 1,000.

The reason is because the cost difference to us is negligible and most of our expense is in labor rather than printing.

 

What if I'm not happy with the final product?

We will do whatever it takes to make you happy.  Send your cards back to us and we'll start over again at no charge to you.  This is limited to design issues.  If you give us the wrong phone number and approve the proof, we'll have to charge for reprinting.

 

Do you have an affiliate program?

Not at present. We are evaluating the merits of this and will make a decision shortly.

 

What kind of guarantee do you offer?

We offer a 30 day money-back guarantee if we screw something up or if you think the final product just doesn't look like it should. If you gave us incorrect information and approved it, we'll happily reprint it for you at a 30% discount.
